One More Time Around...

Imagine how world-conquering-ly huge Chas & Dave would be if they'd started in 2012?! There'd be photo shoots of them using their fixie to nip down the local. Their music would be used to advertise the newest indie brewery. And best of all, Mumford & Sons would never have gotten a look in.

Unfortunately for us, they were 40 years ahead of themselves.
Too often dismissed as a bit of a comedy act - ye write one song that overuses the word Rabbit and people never let it go - Chas & Dave are quite simply two of the best songwriters, musicians and performers you could ever hope to find.

They've also managed that elusive thing of never being too old to play their own music - I'm looking at you Rolling Stones - it was timeless from day one.

After Dave retired in 2009,it wasn't long before the old pair were back on the road, supposedly for one final, farewell tour.

Unsurprisingly, that tour led to one or two other shows, which eventually led to the duo recording their first new album in 27 years. Well, new-ish, as in truth it was a collection of rock'n'rock classics, but hey, it's Chas & Dave, they can do what they like...

Chas & Dave play the Waterfront Hall on Saturday 22 November. Tickets are priced at £24.50/£26.50 and are on sale now. For more go to waterfront.co.uk
