Arone Dyer and Aron Sanchez are Buke & Gase – the 'Buke' is a self-modified six string former baritone ukulele, played by Arone, and the 'Gase' is a guitar bass hybrid of Aron's own creation. The pair also mobilise a small army of foot percussion, pedals, amplifiers and homemade inventions creating a massive sound. The band's DIY approach has lead to music with an unmistakable sound that is entirely their own. Also, Arone has an incredible voice.
Presented by the ever consistent Moving on Music and appearing in a new venue for the promoter, Aether & Echo, the show on Thursday 11 December mark the bands debut in Northern Ireland. I can't urge you enough to go. Check out General Dome by the band if you need further convincing.
