Jaguar Skills is to make his long awaited return to Belfast as Thomson's Garage takes Funkarama to Belfast's Titanic Quarter this weekend.
Funkarama has been a staple of the mid-week reveler since the early noughties, featuring award winning DMC champions from both sides of the Atlantic. As one of Belfast’s longest running club nights, Funkarama has consistently delivered a full house at Thompson's Garage featuring such turntable talents as DJ Rafik, Shiftee, First Rate & Cash Money and many others too numerous to list.
Initially set up as a weekly R’n’B and Hip Hop event, Funkarama has organically evolved to incorporate numerous genres of dance music as the soundscape has swelled and turned with the ever changing 'music manipulation' tide.
This Saturday Funkarama will branch out in to the heart of Belfast’s Titanic Quarter to the T-13 Warehouse where they will host an exclusive performance from Radio1 Mastermixer, Jaguar Skills.
Master of the underground Hip Hop scene, Jaguar Skills shot to fame when his ‘Hip Hop Odyssey Mix’, featuring a record breaking 800 tracks in 60 minutes received over 1million downloads. Quickly snapped up by Radio 1 godfathers, Trevor Nelson, Mistajam, Zane Lowe and Chris Moyles, his 'Mash Up Mixes' promptly dominated the airwaves leading to him hosting his very own show for the stations much acclaimed 'In New DJs We Trust'.
Now a regular fixture on the European Festival circuit with sold out tours across the UK, the masked ninja returns to wow the Belfast crowd with his genre-defying mix of DnB come EDM with a healthy dose of his bread and butter Hip Hop, House, Rock and anything else he turns his table to.
