Launched today, the Eastside Arts Festival, is the city's newest cultural event to focus on a area. Described as "an initiative to develop, support and deliver a wide range of arts activity and creativity across the east of the city", the festival will focus on the heritage and history to be found in the 'eastside' – as the new branding calls it.
There are a number of key events and a great deal of free events, which is extremely commendable.
